Eco-Policies
|
Listed below are lodging related eco-organizations, a brief description of each along with its logo, and a small icon (shown on the right). When you browse the lodgings offered on this site the presence of these icons indicate with which organizations and policies the lodging provider is affiliated. Most organizations, such as Green Globe, are independent. Their policies apply across the board to any qualifying lodging provider. The rest are essentially in-house corporate policies, such as Marriott's, which cover a number of popular and well known hotels or resorts. Not listed on this page are in-house policies for unique lodging providers. Those with only one property for example, such as Canopy Tower EcoLodge & Nature Observatory, become too numerous to detail or assign an icon. When you browse the lodgings offered and find one with no icon, you can presume it has been screened for a suitable in-house policy. Because eco-organizations could not be found specifically for tour operators, icons are not displayed with tours. You can presume that tours have also been screened for suitable in-house policies. |
